She has been a nurse midwife since 2018 and practiced in the Portland, Oregon area before moving to St George to be closer to family. Heather earned her Master’s of Nursing as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Oregon Health and Science University.

Midwives are committed to giving you the best and safest experience possible. She sees her role as being an expert in the field with the patient being the expert in themselves, their bodies and their needs. While a big part of the work is to educate and provide evidence to support recommendations, ultimately, the best plan is going to be the one the individual decides is best for them and their family. Heather believes that pregnancy and birth are generally normal processes, but when interventions do become necessary we’re here to help partner with you as you navigate through that path.

Heather strives to ensure people feel heard and that they are being treated with respect and dignity. Using trauma informed care, Heather works to support people through these vulnerable experiences so that they feel safe and empowered.

Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and extended family. She also loves being outdoors with her dog, yoga, and all things crafty.
